What Is It
There is nothing more dreaded by Windows computer users than the blue screen of death (BSoD). The terrifying sounding names indicated how problematic the BSoD is. If the blue screen of death is showing on your computer, it means that your machine has ran into a problem that it cannot solve and that it cannot ignore — therefore it is bowing out before it becomes unrecoverable.
What Does It Mean
The BSoD screen is not that easy to categorize on the surface for most users. It is sort of a catchall screen because it could point to a software error that occurred during computation or it could be associated with a hardware failure. The general message displayed is “ your PC ran into a problem.
What Should I Do
As a baseline your computer will attempt to restart when it encounters a BSoD level issue. If you encounter blue screen errors frequently you should check the log files that are saved during a crash to see what’s going on with your computer. It may be pointing to a greater failure with your system or an ensuing loss of your machine altogether.
